The little stint (Calidris minuta) is a very small and long-distance migrant wader, wintering south to Africa and south Asia.

Length : 12–14 cm

Wingspan: 28–31 cm

Weight : 17–44 g

Population : 1,000,000-1,100,000 individuals

Habitat: frequent salt marshes, estuaries, freshwater marshes, steppes, flooded fields, bogs and pasture near lakes, rivers and streams

Diet: Food is small invertebrates picked off the mud.
