The Siberian rubythroat (Calliope calliope) is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family, Turdidae, migratory insectivorous species breeding in mixed coniferous forests with undergrowth in Siberia.

Length : 14–16 cm

Weight : 16–29 g.

Population : The population is suspected to be stable in the absence of evidence for any declines or substantial threats.

Habitat: Breeds in lowland taiga and subalpine shrubbery, clearings in forest by meadows and rivers.

Diet: Insects, including flies and their larvae, ants, wasps and beetles; also plant material.
